Commissioned by PlayStation for FIFA and the World Cup, The Thumbsore Nation is a modern-day story of the trials and tribulations of being a footy fan, depicting the ups and downs from the terraces to the sofa and the controller. When the tournament comes around the whole country plays along, and nobody feels it more than the thumbs.
The film is influenced by the retro gaming aesthetic of yesteryear in an approach that collides old and new. Classic console nods sit alongside modern football culture, cut with the pace and energy of the game itself and set to a track from Dua Lipa.
